- The OCS only had 32 colour registers, and on the original Denise there
- was a 6th bitplane used only for HAM. Shortly after the release of the
- A1000 it was replaced with a new version which could also use the 6th
- bitplane for shading i.e. col 32 is half brightness of col 0, col 33 is
- half brightness of col 1, etc. This was never widely used as far as I can
- see, although it works well in the game Settlers.
